Its OCTOBER!!! A great month for beer lovers because here comes the OKTOBERFEST celebration!!!
It started back in 1810 as a wedding celebration and today it has become a festival celebrated by beer lovers all over the world.
This year Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) kick off Oktoberfest 2011 at the newly opened SOULed OUT Ampang, Menara HSC, Jalan Ampang on 6th of October.

Sorry to mention that i was late due to the late off work and busy traffic, i missed out the launching gambit of the event :(

These are the THREE Musketeers specially introduced by GAB for this year oktoberfest - the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, the official beer at the Munich Oktoberfest; the Hopf Ice Wheat Beer and 111 Zwickl Beer.

As the celebration goes on, we were entertained by Oom-Pah Band and treated to a day of German-inspired cuisines and some traditional Oktoberfest games.

In Pretzel challenge, a team of two with a person holding the fishing rod with a piece of pretzel while the other member need to finish eating the pretzel.

Next, there's Masskrugstemmen (Beer Stein Holding contest) where participant is to lift a liter mug of beer and the longest to hold with their arm stretched out straight and parallel to the floor WINS.

Moving out for the Beer Barrel Roll, a must-have game for Oktoberfest.
Two teams with two members each will compete on rolling the barrel up to a inclining plank and the fastest to reach the top win!

Throughout the month, beer lovers can enjoy the all day happy hour promotion on selected outlet events by GAB.
At bars and clubs, with every purchase of 1L stein of Tiger beer, consumers are entitled to take home a limited edition GAB Oktoberfest 1L stein mugs.
In supermarkets, those who purchase beers from retail outlet such as Cold Storage, Mercato, Village Grocer and Jaya Grocer will enjoy special promotional discounts.
And a discount of RM2 will be given for every purchase of any two big bottle of Tiger, Guinness or Anchor in coffee shops or chinese restaurants.
