Ben's @ Publika

I believe Ben's is already a famous dining spot nowdays and it has quite a few branch opened.

However this is only my first try in Ben's after so long they've been in the town.
And here i am in Ben's @ Publika

With the nice deco....

And they have their own magazine published...lol

As usual, western style menu....with only wordssssss D:
That's the main reason i'm still doing this post to share some of the pics, how the dish actually looks like.

There's dozens of recipe on the table and also table topics for you to chat on in case you are bored waiting for food to serve.

Tables are available at indoors and outdoors.
Indoors are usually fully seated but i bet with the hot weather in Malaysia, it's worth waiting to dine indoor.

Brunch @ Pan Heong Restaurant, Batu Caves

My colleague and I used to come here for lunch once in a while when we still worked in Batu Caves around 2-3 years back. It was packed as usual with a few standing and waiting to be seated.

Until recently, after a shooting session with my friends at Ulu Yam, we decided to drop by Pan Heong for lunch. Well, this was the first time for me to lunch here in Sunday noon and i was shocked with the numbers of people SURROUNDING the shop waiting for table. @@

Pan Heong Restaurant
No.2 Jalan Medan Batu Caves 2
03-61877430

Totally NO JOKE!
Was hesitated to change lunch venue but at last we did wait and finally we got our table around 20mins wait. ><

Fish porridge is one of the signature of Pan Heong. There's a list of fish porridge available here.

Be sure to bring at least one partner as some porridge has no order for 1 person. Unless you can finish the 2 person bowl by yourselves....LOL.

生鱼皮蛋粥 / Snakebead fish with century egg porridge (RM13.50 - 2person)
- superb smooth fish with no sign of overcook :D
low in budget...so we just ordered the most economic one...haha

Coz our budget goes to.......

生虾河粉 / Fresh prawn hor fun (RM56 for above shown)
- the hor fun is kinda little in portion but then the focus is still on the fresh prawn and its gravy

- checkout the prawn! big and fresh :P

南乳炸肉 / Nam Yu Fried Pork (RM14)
- taste good as it is, you may leave that sauce alone XD

Mee Mamak (RM12.50)
- confirm this one is not from the mamak opposite....coz the taste is different...haha....unable to describe it ....some may find it normal...so try it yourself

Besides all the signature above, there're still many chinese dish you can order for.
What makes their business keep running high? I bet is their quality they maintain all the while as this is the only outlet available.

Be sure to checkout there operating hours is until 3:30pm...no dinner time.

The Zun Express @ The Garden, Midvalley City

The Zun Express is a restaurant owned by Eu Yan Sang and it's located at the lower ground level of the Garden (the tunnel linking Garden Mall and Midvalley Mall).

The last time i had my meal here was way before they renovated this place and was less crowded.

A Chinese pharmacy themed restaurant, yup, no doubt Eu Yan Sang is in this business for decades.

Well, this is how the environment of the dining place looks like. The lighting is definitely too comfortable making me kinda sleepy LOL

OK, enough crapping...lets check out the food :D

Lotus Leaf Rice (RM13.80)
- steamed rice with mushrooms and chicken cutlet wrapped in lotus leaf. The light smell of lotus leaf on the steamed rice, totally worth trying

Charcoal Bean curd (RM12) with rice (RM1.50)
-erm...tofu lo....

Oriental Pork Chop Rice (RM16.80)
- quite like the pork chop as the cut is quite tender. Weird to see rice and fries together right? Try dip the fries to the pork chop sauce, bet you'll like it :P

Sang Har Mee - prawn noodles (RM26.80)
-kinda pricey, but worth trying as the prawn is quite fresh and nice gravy

Stevia Rose Tea (RM6.80)
-some kinda rose tea with light rose smell. If you want to get the taste of the tea, recommend to have a few sips before you dine. As after you dine, the food's taste will easily cover the light rose smell.

For me, this is definitely a good place to dine in with your family if you are looking for some healthy food as i think their dish are not heavy in seasoning.

JIO u eat Pisang Raja Goreng @ Brickfields Pisang Goreng

Once upon a time, i saw my friend check-in at pisang goreng (banana fritters) stall and i wonder how come this stall so terror...even got it's own check-in point in foursquare. Until yesterday, finally my friend JIO me to eat JIO at this stall.

So how shall i put the address for this stall? It's a roadside hawker at Jalan Thambipillay right in front of One Sentral Restaurant.

And here's the price list as above. Some of you might be shock at WTH?!...pisang goreng selling at RM1.20 per piece while the normal market price is RM1 for 3 piece!

Well, they are using pisang raja which seems to be the best type of bananas to make banana fritters. Don't ask me how to differentiate those bananas by its' looks, actually i don't know much about it either >< LOL.

That's the bananassssss after peeling of skin and ready to fry.

Freshly FRIED!

After having this expensive banana fritter, i'll say it's totally worth-trying! Crispy outside, soft and sweet inside :P

I'm sure that i'll be back for more after this XD

Check out their fried kuih bakul. Kinda small, but where else can you find fried kuih bakul when it is not Chinese New Year?

Thanks Pingu for jio-ing me to this jio stall and eat jio XD
and sory for forgotten your big day ><

HAPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BRO!

and for my friends who's reading this...dont say i BOJIO.......

Its been a real long time since my last post.

Well, i'm back with more FOOD post!!

Today, with my friend's intro, here we are at Kak Jat's Ikan Bakar which is located behind the old National Palace.

Gerai No.3
Jalan Bellamy, Bukit Petaling,
50460 KL

There's quite a few stalls selling ikan bakar there but i just dont know why everyone choose to pack in this Gerai No.3. Might it be Malaysian's instinct to follow big group? LOL. Since i'm a Malaysian so i choose to pack with others too XD. Surely will be back for other stalls to find out the reason.

Check out all these grilled fish and seafood! WOW!!!

A big gathering on the grill pan..LOL

Self-service on getting your own slice of dish and rice and your meal is ready to go.

For drinks, there's all kind of juice made-ready to be serve. So, just choose from the tray to make things fast, if not you may made your own order if your choice is not there.

Grilled Squid (RM10 each)

i wonder is there any meat stuffed inside the squid when we took it as it is so bulky and here's the answer: tentacles.

It tasted absolutely good with the chilli paste. For me is the best among all!

Ikan Pari - stingray (RM10)

Unluckily i took the old pari. It's hard dough! 10 bucks wasted T.T
Make sure you know how to choose a nice piece when you all dine here.

and next we have this....dont know what fish but it taste good and quite juicy! RM8 for this piece.

Two types of sauce they serve.
